Part of our aim for the End Rabies Now campaign is to increase commitment and funding from donors, local governments, countries and institutions to raise the profile of rabies as a Negelected Tropical Disease and eliminate human deaths from canine rabies by 2030. 

In countries where the disease is not endemic rabies sometimes drops off the agenda but with the help of the governments in those countries we can increase awareness and tackle the problem.

We have therefore launched a unique tool on our website that allows supporters to compile messages for their local UK Member of Parliament. The Write to Your MP function allows users to pick key messages on rabies and on what they would like their MP to do. It also finds your MP’s e-mail address so you can compile, complete and send your message with just a few clicks.

We have also added a Tweet Your MP tool. Our UK supporters can now tweet directly to their MP on the need for better funding for dog vaccinations to control and eliminate human deaths from rabies. There are plans to rollout the tweeting and email functions to other countries.
