How we’re going to reach Zero by 30
Louise Taylor, GARC’s Scientific Director, is writing a series of articles for the Huffington Post as part of Project Zero, an ongoing series to raise awareness around neglected tropical diseases and efforts to fight them.
The latest post in this series is about how we intend to reach the goal that we’re working towards of reaching zero human deaths from canine rabies by 2030. It’s the theme for World Rabies Day 2017 and it is shared by organisations like WHO (World Health Organization) and OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health). As Margaret Chan, director general of the WHO, said in her opening address “rabies belongs in the history books.”
